We currently have 6 teachers working for Rosie’s Rainbow Fishes. All teachers are trained in the same technique and methodology meaning that clients can swap between teachers without worry of confusing their children. We regularly speak to each other about progress of clients and new exercises, teaching points and practices that have been successful so we can share and benefit from each other’s experience. Here is a brief overview of the teachers:

ROSIE
I have over 30 years of swimming teaching experience. As a
EWAN
Ewan began working at Rosie’s Rainbow Fishes in October 2023 as our teaching assistant, learning on the job from all our experienced teachers. In July 2024, after he’d finished his GCSE exams, he passed his STA Stage 2 teachers qualification. He also used the summer of 2024 to become a full NPLQ lifeguard, pass his Safeguarding qualification and get his DBS check done. In September 2024, he started working independently teaching 121, 221 and Rookie lifeguard lessons. Ewan is currently studying for his A-levels and working hard to complete his Gold Duke of Edinburgh award and raise money to go to Zanzibar in July 2025 with Global Action for a charity trip.
KAREN
Karen started working at Rosie’s Rainbow Fishes in 2018. She has over 10 years of experience teaching with Water Babies and teaches our clients who are over 4 years old. She is fabulous with the kids and they just love her fun and patient personality. Karen holds her Level 1 and 2 ASA teaching qualifications, STA Mother and Baby, National Rescue Award For Swimmimg Teachers & Coaches (NRASTC) and full DBS check.
EMMA M
Emma joined the company in November 2018. Her background is coaching, she has worked as a coach for Dunstable Swim Club for many years, helping competitive swimmers to achieve their swimming potential. She passed her ASA Level 2 Swim Teacher qualification in August 2018 and joined RRF the following month. Emma also works at Swanbourne House School as their Swimming Coach. For RRF Emma teaches children aged 4 and above, Rookie Lifeguard and adult group lessons. Emma holds ASA Level 1 and 2 teaching qualifications, National Rescue Award For Swimmimg Teachers & Coaches (NRASTC), Basic First Aid Certificate, Safeguarding & Protecting Children Certificate and full DBS check.
EMMA H
Emma joined the company in May 2019. During her childhood Emma swam competitively and developed a love for swimming. She has been teaching swimming to children for most of her adult life which included 10 years working for Water Babies. Emma is caring, compassionate and a fabulous teacher (she taught both of Rosie’s children during Water Babies so we can personally vouch for that). Emma teaches everyone from newborn babies to old age pensioners. Emma holds the following qualifications: STA Beginners and level 2 full teachers, Diploma in Aquatics, STA Mother and Baby, National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches (NRASTC) and full DBS check.
TERESA
Teresa juggles working for Water Babies, working for us, a 7 year old and a baby – all with a smile on her face, positivity in her life and an abundance of enthusiasm. I first met Teresa when I taught her daughter at Water Babies. She then decided to change careers and train as a WB teacher and I was her mentor though her training. Teresa holds the following qualifications: STA Beginners and level 2 full teachers, Diploma in Aquatics, STA Mother and Baby, National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches (NRASTC) and full DBS check. Teresa enjoys lots of different water sports – SUP, surfing, river swimming and is a keen runner.
